Eric has more than 36 years of corporate and private intellectual property law experience involving patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and unfair competition matters. He has experience with a wide variety of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, foods and beverages, paper, polymers, soap, ceramic coatings, biotechnology, basic chemical synthesis, holographic data storage systems and methods, gas turbine engines and components, business and software methods, car accessories and novelty devices.
Eric is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Eric earned a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, in chemistry from Carleton College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law. Eric has co-written more than 100 articles on a wide variety of intellectual property law subjects and is a speaker and moderator for organization including the Association of University Technology Managers and the Society of Research Administrators International.
