Application Tips

Low Cost Approach to Obtaining Patent Protection
  1. Download and complete our Record of Invention form which may be used to request a patent search from our company.
  2. File a Provisional Patent Application to obtain "Patent Pending Status."
  3. With your "Patent Pending Status" secured, discuss your invention with investors, companies, and marketing firms to try to sell or license your invention.
  4. Within one year after filing your Provisional Patent Application, file a regular Utility Patent Application. Patent & Trademark Services, Inc. (P&TS) will deduct the cost of preparing the Provisional Patent Application from the cost of preparing a regular Utility Patent Application. This reduction in cost applies only to our preparation of the specification and other paperwork. The Government filing fee and necessary formal drawings involve additional costs.

P&TS has an excellent record for obtaining issued patents. We have many satisfied customers who have received patents and are willing to recommend us. A number of our clients have filed multiple applications through our company. If desired, you may contact us for the name and phone number of one of our satisfied customers.
